The Brief

The Waterside Restaurant forms part of the Northampton University Campus, open to both students and the general public. It was essential this restaurant suited many tastes and budgets; therefore, the new build needed a modern and welcoming feel.

The solution

Inox Equip started this project with a breezeblock shell and after designing the entire space, from chairs to lighting, we managed the project from start to finish.

The goal of this restaurant was to allow the public to make use of the newly landscaped parkland adjacent to the university and eat at a well-priced restaurant that offered great food and drink.

The Results

The final outcome was a beautiful destination for students and the public. We worked with local breweries to install a cellar and on-tap beer to ensure that the more lively student events held here could be catered for.

The commercial kitchen used an open pass, with all-electric equipment. This offered an overall saving to the Client as the required ventilation system was smaller. The restaurant now provides themed dining nights, hosts staff lunches and holds events throughout the academic year.
